This notice explains what personal data Factory Karts UK collects through factorykarts.co.uk, why, and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. [Draft — please have this checked before launch.]
Who we are

- Test day request: your email, phone, class, current chassis and any notes.

If you’re under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to send the form for you.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange test days — lawful basis: legitimate interests and steps you’ve asked us to take before a possible contract.
- To understand how the website is used — lawful basis: consent (analytics cookies), which you can withdraw at any time.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t add you to marketing emails unless you ask us to.
Who processes it
- Amazon Web Services (hosting and form delivery, London region) — our processor.
- Google (Google Analytics, only with your consent).

Where data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and test day requests are kept for [24 months] after our last contact, unless you become a customer, in which case we keep records as required for accounting and warranty. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email info@factorykarts.co.uk and we’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
